Listed for sale is my 2000 Dodge Caravan. Don't let its age fool you, this van is in great shape and will serve its new owner well. Mechanically its very strong, its extremely reliable and is in much better shape than its peers the same age. I am the 2nd owner, I purchased this van in 2012 with 80000 miles from an elderly gentleman in his 90s who only took the van back and forth to the supermarket. It ran like new then and it still runs great now. Most of the 50000 miles I've put on the van are to run to the local dump for cardboard and recycling disposal, and back and forth to the hardware store for materials. Occasionally, I took it back and forth to work when I needed the extra interior space, but it essentially was purchased and served as a spare vehicle. Recently (4 months ago) it became my daily driver because my primary vehicle was hit by a deer before Thanksgiving and needed body work. But now that I have the car back, I've decided to let this van go. Trust me, the van runs great! Since I owned it, I've upgraded the following:New front suspensionNew steering pinion gearsNew aftermarket Pioneer radio with AUX jack.New starterRecently added in the last 3 months:New premium Walmart batteryOil changeNew front brakes including rotors and ceramic padsNew rear tiresFull and honest disclosure: Cosmetically, its showing its age. I mean not many people still own/drive a vehicle in Hunter Green anymore even though it was a quite popular color in the 90's.. Some of the clear coat is wearing a bit thin on the hood. It does have a bit of rot on the bottom of passenger side sliding door that could use attention. There is a piece of weatherstripping on the passenger side that could use some industrial-strength glue - but I have it duct taped instead. I've removed the interior headliner because it was sagging and getting annoying. I had purchased a replacement headliner from Amazon but never had it installed. However, I will throw that into the sale to the new owner so they can get it installed if they choose to do so.The air conditioning system has a leak somewhere - so it won't hold refrigerant for too long - but if you charge it at the beginning of the summer, it should last until it starts to get cool. Also, it tends to lose power steering fluid over time as well - you'll have to add it every season or so. I use the Lucas brand - tends to be a thicker than standard power steering fluids. You'll know it needs fluid when the steering starts to squeal a bit on turning. Anyway, the van is good - it starts, it runs, it doesn't smoke, doesn't burn oil, doesn't burn coolant.. I feel its a wonderful value for its age and at the listed price. It's ready as a daily driver, or as a work van, or as a second vehicle for family use. The two bench seats are removable so you get almost a full 8 feet of cargo space with no seats in it.
